What we collect, why we collect it, and who can see it — in plain language.

What we collect

Account information you give us: your name, email address and, for trainers, the profile details you choose to publish — bio, city, specialities, rates, photos and certification documents.

Product data created as you use Spotterz: messages between you and the trainer or client you are working with, bookings, workout and diet plans, and progress entries you log.

Technical data collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit. This is used to keep the service running, understand which pages are useful, and detect abuse.

How we use it

To operate the product — showing trainer profiles publicly, delivering messages, processing listing payments and sending service email such as receipts and account notices.

To review certification documents submitted for verification. These are read by a person on our team and are not published; only the resulting badge is public.

To improve the product, by looking at aggregate usage rather than reading individual accounts.

Who can see your data

A trainer profile is public by design — that is the point of listing. Anything you put on your profile can be seen by anyone, including search engines.

Chat history, plans and progress logs are visible only to you and the trainer or client on the other side of that relationship. They are not visible to other trainers or other clients.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Processors we rely on

Spotterz runs on third-party infrastructure, and those providers process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Resend (transactional email) and Razorpay (trainer listing payments). Card details are handled by Razorpay and never reach our servers.

Retention and your choices

We keep your account data while your account exists. You can request deletion of your account from within the app, and we will remove your personal data and take your public profile down.

Some records are kept longer where we are required to — for example payment records needed for tax and accounting.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in, and first-party analytics to understand how the site is used. You are asked for consent to the non-essential ones, and declining does not restrict the product in any way.

Our analytics are first-party — the data stays with us and is not shared with an advertising network.

Client photos and progress data

Before-and-after photos are only ever published on a trainer profile where the client has explicitly confirmed consent, and only a client first name is shown alongside them — never a full name.

Progress logs, measurements and workout history belong to the client. They are visible to that client and to the trainer they are working with, and to nobody else.

Children

Spotterz is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a minor has created an account, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that materially affects you, we will tell account holders rather than quietly updating the date at the top.
